In a 1974 collaboration with Bob\nCallahan of Turtle Island Foundation, Teter and Myers chose the comic book\nformat for mass distribution of poet Ed Dorn\u2019s <em>Recollections of Gran Apacher\u00eda<\/em>, also published in a traditional hardback\nby Turtle Island. The underground comic scene was flourishing in San Francisco\nat the time with ZAP Comix (Robert Crumb, Rick Griffin, Victor Moscoso and\nothers) and the Zephyrus <em>Recollections<\/em>,\npriced at \u201c20 dimes,\u201d sold well. The planning and layout of the text, author\u2019s\ncorrections, and galleys are shown on the top shelf.
