Design was fundamental to the success of this\naward-winning press, which published 18 books of prose and poetry between 1978\nand 1984. Sombre Reptiles featured Hayden\u2019s original artwork and illustration\nin Don Cushman\u2019s book of prose poetry, <em>Kill\nJim<\/em> (1981), which was an homage to detective fiction.
