There have been major losses of bee colonies in recent years to Colony Collapse Disorder and other challenges, with some beekeepers losing at least 30% of their hives. Honeybees are important to U.S. agriculture, as they pollinate over $15 billion of food crops each year. Moreover, bees and their social behavior have been a fascination to humans for centuries.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The materials in this case cover bees and beekeeping as both a hobby and a commercial enterprise.
