These include photographs, illustrations, images, varying fonts, handwritten text, pull quotes, and even his partial bibliography of sources used while researching the novel.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<hr class=\"wp-block-separator\"\/>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Typed note by Reed regarding <em>Mumbo Jumbo<\/em>\u2019s pagination, circa 1972<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>[UD_EXHIBITION_ITEM]<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Subverting traditional sequencing, Reed opted to have his readers drop right into the novel\u2019s first chapter &#8211; which precedes the book\u2019s title and copyright pages &#8211; upon opening the book. In the novel\u2019s final publication, the letter appears in Reed\u2019s own long hand &#8211; in stark contrast to the typed text surrounding it.
