(opens in a new tab)\">Take me to the\u00a0archived exhibition.<\/a><\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The items on display highlight the activities of Littleton \u201cLit\u201d Mitchell as a member of the Tuskegee Airmen, his three-decades-long leadership of the Delaware NAACP, his career as a teacher and counselor at Governor Bacon Health Center in Delaware City, and his involvement in several other local and national organizations. &nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Also displayed are items representing the career of Lit\u2019s wife, Jane Mitchell, one of Delaware\u2019s first African-American nurses and former director of nursing at the Delaware State Hospital.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>This exhibition was originally on display in the first floor Information Area of Morris Library from May 1-September 30, 2013.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Tags:<\/strong>&nbsp;Mitchell, Littleton P.
