In <em>Sacred Convergence in African American Art<\/em>, visitors will explore where contemporary African American art intersects with sacred objects from West Africa and images and objects from the Christian tradition.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Drawing on African and Christian objects from various centuries, the exhibition reflects on how spirituality has been a means of comfort, solidarity and resistance for African American artists from the time of enslavement until now.
