About This Exhibition:

At the University of Delaware, the art collections are constantly expanding through careful and deliberate purchases and the generosity of donors. In What’s New? Recent Additions to the Art Collections, visitors will explore a variety of artwork that highlights many of the strengths in our collections, including African American art, photography, and modern and contemporary Indigenous art.

From basketry to paintings and sculpture to prints, the 130 items on view were selected from more than 3,000 works of art added to the collection since 2016. The exhibition reflects the wide variety of materials in our collections, which also includes abstract art, material culture, European prints, regional art, and works by UD faculty and alumni.
