About This Exhibition:
At the University of Delaware, the mineral collection is constantly expanding through careful and deliberate purchases and the generosity of donors. In What’s New? Recent Additions to the Mineral Collection, visitors will explore newly acquired mineral specimens while learning about gem minerals and important mineral discoveries.
The exhibition features minerals from around the world, including Australia, Brazil, China, Namibia and the United States, each with a fascinating origin story.
You can also view the Mineralogical Museum’s Permanent Collection, which reflects the early mining of gem crystals in the United States and major finds from Europe.
