This exhibition emerged from a capstone seminar in English, “Into the Archives,” taught by Laura Helton in Fall 2020, with additional research by Maddy Starling, a 2021 UD Summer Scholar, and Britney Henry, Special Collections intern and PhD student in English. This seminar grew out of a collections-based teaching grant from the Interdisciplinary Humanities Research Center, and was co-developed by Laura Helton, Curtis Small, and Theresa Hessey. Aimee Gee, Carol Rudisell, Alexander Johnston, Dustin Frohlich, and Rebecca Johnson Melvin provided additional instructional support for the seminar.
The online exhibition was developed by Dustin Frohlich and Britney Henry with designs by Jaynell Keely.
The Langston Hughes ephemera collection, held by Special Collections at the University of Delaware’s Morris Library, was digitized by the Digital Collections and Preservation department and is available on UDSpace.
