Jell-O’s Global Scope

Jell-O is usually thought of as an iconic American dessert. It was first produced in the small town of LeRoy, New York, which today is the site of the official Jell-O museum. However, the production of America's "most famous dessert" depends on a global network to obtain ingredients. Early Jell-O promotional literature highlighted the foreign origins of the product’s ingredients, showing consumers that the company went to great lengths to get the choicest foodstuffs.
