Alan Kaufman (b. 1952), author, artist

Alan Kaufman’s Jew Boy was a ground-breaking memoir of its kind by a Second Generation Holocaust survivor when first published in 2000. Ten manuscript notebooks, with original cover art by Kaufman, are among the comprehensive publishing files related to Jew Boy in the Alan Kaufman papers. The Cornell paperpack edition in 2017 includes one of Kaufman’s haunting paintings on the cover.
