This exhibition is a short story, reflecting boundaries of a small exhibition space and limited documentation found in the student yearbook and newspaper, The Blue Hen and The Review, and a few archival collections found in Special Collections and UD Archives. This is not a full history of what happened in Wilmington, nor the story of what happened as other Delawareans and students on other campuses reacted throughout the state. The small scale of the exhibition emphasizes the need to collect more sources, to help researchers and the community to know more about Delaware’s intersection with this historically significant year.
