Theresa Rebeck is known for her disciplined output as a writer. She was involved in school literary magazines, contributing creative and non-fiction pieces through high school and college. Her work appeared in The Juggler and she was production manager of Scholastic at Notre Dame. With her English and journalism double major from Notre Dame, Theresa Rebeck began her career as a staff writer for St. Anthony Messenger (Cincinnatti) and several of her contributions are listed in the yearly index for 1980-1981. She also freelanced for Homily Helps (Homily Service for Catholic priests) and the Cincinnati Enquirer Magazine, and Boston Pilot and Boston Ledger after moving to Massachusetts.
