The USA Science & Engineering Festival is a grassroots collaboration effort of over 500 science and engineering organizations working together to reinvigorate young people’s interest in STEM. The two-week Festival launched on October 10, 2010, and culminated in a two-day Expo on the National Mall in Washington, D.C. The Festival staff reached out to Senator Kaufman about introducing a resolution on their behalf. Kaufman introduced S. Res. 656 on September 28, 2010, on the Senate floor which was passed by unanimous consent.
