STEM Education Coordination Act

The STEM Education Coordination Act of 2009 (S. 1210) was introduced by Senator Kaufman on June 8, 2009. The act was cosponsored with Senator Sherrod Brown (D-OH) and asked for greater coordination of STEM education resources at the federal level. The bill called for the Office of Science and Technology Policy to establish a committee under the National Science and Technology Council that would be responsible for coordinating federal science, technology, engineering, and math education programs and activities.
