Throughout his twenty-two months in the U.S. Senate, Senator Kaufman sponsored and promoted legislation related to STEM education and also visited schools in Delaware with focused STEM programs and curricula. During these visits, Kaufman made a point to encourage students to pursue higher education and careers in STEM. Kaufman also wanted to applaud the administrators at these schools for creating rigorous and innovative STEM programs that provide standards-based training for students.
